Ethanol Content Sensor BMW/Supra
Genuine Continental (VDO) Flex Fuel E85 Sensors are used to measure the ethanol to gasoline ratio of the fuel being used in a vehicle. Flexible fuel vehicles can be operated with a blend of ethanol and gasoline depending on the vehicles fuel lines, injectors, and ECU calibration.
The flex fuel sensor uses quick-connect style fuel connections for the incoming and outgoing fuel connections. Installed in your main fuel feed line, all fuel passes through the flex fuel sensor before continuing on to the fuel rail. The flex fuel sensor measures the fuel alcohol content, and sends an electrical signal to an ethanol content analyzer in order for the DME or ECU of the vehicle to receive an ethanol percentage.
Please Note: Both inlet and outlet connections on the sensor are 3/8" SAE sized fittings.
